Intercargo Logistics is a fast paced, technological advanced logistics & supply chain solutions company dealing with air, sea and road freight services across all 7 continents. This job will support the UK head office's accounting operations.
Job Description:
- Managing the complete cycle of accounts payable in organizational setup for our company
- Implementing systems and controls/procedures on the payables side as per procedures and rules advised by management.
- Establish and enforce proper payables side accounting methods, policies, and principles.
- Record vendor service invoices on daily basis as soon as received
- Reconcile invoices with vendor quotes and initiate queries where discrepancies found
- Initiating, Reviewing and Finalizing the Payment Run on weekly basis for due invoices
- Recording credit notes in shipments and vendor accounts, looking after the contra settlements
- Set up new vendors in system adding all relevant information like contact details and credit limits allowed
- Reconcile bank payments on weekly and monthly basis and reporting the reconciled balances
- Record Local payments, initiating on banking portals and requesting for approval
- Petty cash management, issue cash for expenses and advances and later reconcile each head
- Knowledge of Pakistan WHT tax, raise CPRs and payments through banking portals
- Assist in monthly reporting, annual audits and financial statement preparations
- Handling general ledger recording with the help of team
- Managing the entire budgeting and reforecasting process and meeting the set deadlines
- Managing the treasury function and setting up templates for forward looking cash forecast for the next quarter or six months
- Preparing monthly payables side reports for senior management if required
- Highlighting discrepancies in the system and suggesting cost saving methods
- Doing revenue and expenditure variance analysis on regular basis
- Capital asset reconciliations and trust account statement reconciliations.
- Fixed asset and Debt activity, coordination and assistance in complete annual audits
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions.
- Implementation of Cargowise functionality at high end level for improvement processes and automation
Required Qualifications:
- Should be ideally a qualified accountant ideally a ACCA member (but not essential) with minimum 3 Years of relevant experience of working in a fast paced organization as finance team member.
- MUST be IT Literate with an excellent understanding of Microsoft packages, outlook, word, excel etc.
- Experience of ERP like SAP, Sage, MS Dynamics is PREFERRED but not required.
- MUST have excellent English written and verbal skills (A must)
- MUST be able to speak and communicate in English FLUENTLY.
- MUST have great attention to detail
- MUST have excellent mathematical and analytical skills
- MUST work and adhere to deadlines
- Please note our office timings run from 12:30pm to 9:30pm in summers and 1:30pm to 10:30 pm is winters (according to UK timings)
