Senior Client Accountant - Reporting

Based in ACS's Lahore office, you will support Middle East, UK, and EU-based clients as a remote accountant. This role requires working in a relevant time zone.

The Role

Provide support for financial reporting, IFRS compliance, and carry out other accounting & reporting activities for a portfolio of overseas clients, ensuring that all the clients’ needs are completed in a timely, efficient, and accurate manner according to the quality standards and directions of the client's finance team.

Main responsibilities

  • Provide support for preparing Financial Statements, IFRS compliance, and group consolidation.
  • Process accounting transactions. Collect, analyze, and interpret accounting records for bookkeeping purposes.
  • Manage AP/AR and produce reconciliations under tight deadlines.
  • Manage general ledger and period closing.
  • Assist with accounts preparation, finalization, consolidation, and filing of financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards within the target and standards set.
  • Assist with tax computation and filing.
  • Assist with other statutory filings.
  • Liaise between clients and auditors for finalization of the audit.
  • Regular follow-ups with clients and auditors to ensure that outstanding matters are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Maintain updated accounting databases by performing systematic data entry in the accounting system.
  • Perform any other cognate duties.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills:

  • ACCA qualified (or part qualified only if the experience exceeds two years)
  • At least two years post-qualification experience in industry or practice.
  • Good working knowledge and command of IFRS. Good knowledge and prior exposure to group consolidations.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and Outlook proficiency.
  • Strong communication, accounting / analytical skills, and attention to detail.
  • Work under pressure independently, effectively prioritize, and manage time & workload to meet clients’ needs.
