Key Responsibilities
- Being a key point of contact for business stakeholders within SCB AG across Germany, France, and Sweden for external vendor management and third-party risk requirements.
- Advising and training business stakeholders on procedural requirements for SCB AG – front-to-back oversight of process from Engagement Request and Purchase Orders through to payment and management of vendors.
- Providing oversight for the SCB AG entity of the services provided by the regional Supply Chain Management Governance team and ensuring effective end-to-end management and governance of third-party risk.
- Working with the Outsourcing Team to ensure all Service Level Agreements within Finance are subject to appropriate oversight, demonstrating control and monitoring in line with the local regulatory requirements in Germany (in particular, MaRisk).
- Providing training and support to the business stakeholders across Germany, France, and Sweden with respect to the front-to-back oversight of process from Engagement Request and Purchase Orders through to payment of vendors.
- Coordinate invoices payment process – overseeing the work performed by Accounts Payable team and acting as an escalation point for the business stakeholders to ensure vendor payments are made timely.
- Responsibility for other vendor payment processes including direct debits and ensuring that vendors are paid on a timely basis.
- Be the point of contact for external vendors and perform tracking of new services available on the market that can be useful for the Bank.
- Support the business to negotiate the pricing and other service conditions with vendors where the engagement is below the minimum cap for SCM involvement.
Skills and Experience
- Academic or Professional Education/Qualifications: Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Licences and Certifications/accreditations: Accounting / Finance certification.
- Good negotiation skills to support the business.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task with tight lead times.
- Good commercial knowledge with an ability to think strategically.
- Experience in third party risk management and good understanding of emerging third-party risk that is relevant in financial services industry.
- Ability to work collaboratively within the team and the Bank.
- Ability to operate in a complex multi-organisation, multi-country, and multi-cultural environment.
- Ability to influence others and skilfully build credibility with stakeholders.
- Change management skills and self-awareness to adopt varying approaches for different stakeholder dynamics.
- Familiarity with relevant German regulatory requirements (MaRisk, KWG) a plus.
- Understanding of accounting (debits and credits, accruals, prepayments etc.).
- Ability to perform reconciliations, budget tracking etc.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbally.
- German or French language skills would be an advantage.
