As an Audit (Senior) Manager in the Financial Services Industry (FSI), you will primarily be leading a dynamic team of experienced auditors and specialists in the financial sector. As a team, with various required competencies, you will contribute to develop, implement and execute the audit approach on financial institutions, using the competencies of the team, of the Deloitte network and also using cutting-edge tools and technologies embedded in our approach that have been developed to facilitate the audit and increase its quality. You will obviously assist in the delivery of quality services that exceed client expectations.
You will also be responsible for mentoring staff, providing them with developmental feedback and career guidance.
You will be auditing well-known and reputed financial institutions and groups, which are present in Belgium and abroad, collaborating with Deloitte audit teams across the globe.
You will also more broadly help shaping the audit of the future, for the Belgium firm, but also more globally; and also help shaping the Deloitte Audit & Assurance firm of tomorrow.
Concretely in this position, with your understanding of the challenges the external audit faces and also the financial industry faces you will:
- Be in charge of effective management of audit process and controls assurance services with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues;
- Be a trusted partner to financial institutions to assist with operational, accounting and financial matters, providing comfort to stakeholders;
- Contribute to the prudential supervision of the financial sector regulators, via our role of external auditor or via specific engagements;
- Be involved on remediation and transformation, working amongst other on compliance and risk management projects, also on technology;
- Strengthen client relationships through excellent quality, timely execution and a strategic approach to service delivery;
- Building relationships with experts across Deloitte to deliver client focused solutions;
- Supervise, coach and mentor all levels of staff. Conduct performance reviews and contribute to performance feedback and training. Develop and communicate workplace culture and code of conduct.
Let’s talk about you
- Master degree in economics, commercial engineering or have an equivalent qualification
- Relevant working experience of at least 5 years as external auditor in in the Financial Services Industry
- Passionate about leading a team of professionals
- Ambitious and dedicated to serve our profession and clients
- Critical, creative and analytical mindset
- Client and result oriented and excellent social, communication and presentation skills
- Like interacting with a broad scale of specialists within our Deloitte national and international network
- Fluent in English, Dutch and/or French (both spoken and written)
- Eager to learn and apply new technology skills
