The opportunity

We are looking to grow our Mobility Services team with a Tax Assistant who can deliver high quality services to our clients. Joining the Integrated Mobility team at EY provides fantastic opportunities to cultivate client relationships and participate in managing relationships and delivering services across a broad spectrum of issues beyond tax compliance and advisory. The Expat Tax team provides global mobility expertise, advising clients on their international assignment, short term business traveller, and cross border remote worker programmes. This is achieved by being proactive, understanding their challenges, and providing a relevant and high level of client service.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting in the management of clients with inbound expatriates to the UK and UK outbounds.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with clients and providing consistently high levels of client service.
  • Contributing to the successful delivery of mobility tax projects and ensuring technical excellence.
  • Contributing to the day-to-day delivery of client services, both compliance and advisory.
  • Facilitating workflow to colleagues in the UK and our offshore compliance processing centre.
  • Contributing to winning new work by proactively managing existing clients.
  • Adhering to Quality and Risk Management processes.
  • Being a trusted team member by collaborating with colleagues.

About You:

  • Enthusiastic and energetic, able to embrace new ways of working.
  • Team player with the ability to integrate with new teams quickly.
  • Outgoing with good relationship skills and the ability to deliver quality output.
  • Keen to develop further.
  • Ability to build strong client relationships.
  • Project management skills: plan and prioritize work, meet deadlines, monitor your own budget.
  • Ability to identify areas of risk, conduct effective reviews, and know when to refer issues upwards.
  • Client-focused and commercially aware.
  • Relationship management skills with the ability to manage client expectations.
  • Creative and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communicator in a range of situations, both written and oral.
  • Experience working within professional services.
  • ATT/ACA/ACCA/CTA/Law qualification desirable but not mandatory.
