Responsible for the corporation’s monthly/quarterly management financial reporting and forecast processes, annual planning process, analysis of Noninterest income and various complex ad hoc requests to be determined by Management Reporting, Planning, & Analysis (MRP&A) management and executive leadership of the company.
Major Duties:
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Noninterest Income, areas of the Finance department, Business Unit managers and relationship managers to ensure accurate and meaningful analysis of Key Revenue drivers.
- Participates in the corporation’s monthly reporting process, preparing analyses of financial results relative to forecast, prior periods, and/or Plan, focusing on key business factors driving financial performance.
- Participates in the monthly forecast process for the corporation.
- Reviews and analyzes the forecast for each Business Unit and participates in the creation and review of the consolidated forecast presentation to the firm’s Executive Management.
- Participates in the analysis for and production of the corporation’s consolidated quarterly presentation of earnings results to the Board of Directors.
- Participates in the annual profit planning process for the corporation. This includes the Plan target setting process, working with various Business Units to ensure planning is in line with the strategy of the company and each respective Business Unit.
- Conducts and leads special projects and ad hoc requests for Finance leadership and the corporation’s Management Group.
- Initiates and creates special projects for relevant items
Knowledge/Skills:
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required to evaluate financial results and projections.
- Intellectual curiosity to keep asking questions and develop innovative solutions to problems.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change with the ability to manage multiple deliverables concurrently.
- Clear, concise, effective communication of information to senior management and business unit officers with the ability to translate complex financial and data analytics into well-articulated findings.
- Highly analytical and conceptual thinker.
- Strong personal computer skills (Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and financial systems) are required to perform analyses and communicate financial information.
- Data analytics, data modeling experience preferred.
- Knowledge of accounting, reporting and financial analysis usually acquired through an advanced degree program or related work experience.
Experience:
- 5-8 years of related experience with emphasis on project analysis and management reporting, planning and analysis.
