As an Accounts Assistant you will assist in the work of the Concession Finance team for Balfour Beatty Investments, in providing timely and accurate financial services to concession companies. Key aspects of the role are providing transactional support to the concessions and maintaining the purchases and sales ledgers across the concession portfolio.
What you'll be doing
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
- Accurately process invoices, ensuring appropriate coding and ensuring relevant approvals are received;
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices and payments;
- Process and reconcile accounts payable and receivable ledgers;
- Prepare and send invoices, and manage client accounts;
- Making payments to subcontractors, other suppliers and lenders to contractual timescales;
- Maintaining supplier accounts, following up with supplier queries;
- Support in maintaining the general ledger by posting journal entries and reconciling account;
- Prepare documentation and assist during internal and external audits;
- Any other additional duties such as the Head of Concession Finance, Finance Manager or Concession management team may reasonably require

- Organised and able to perform a number of different tasks and to prioritise own
- workload to ensure deadlines are met, whilst producing accurate work;
- Ability to demonstrate a strong customer focus and a passion for quality service
- delivery;
- Quick to assimilate and work effectively with new information;
