Department: Audit Support

Designation: Assistant Manager

Reports to: Manager / Director / Partner

Typical Experience/Qualifications:

  • CA/CPA/ACCA or equivalent
  • Bilingual - Arabic Speaker and Strong communication skills in English (reading, writing and speaking).
  • Total of at least 5-6 years working experience in External Audit support within the Big 4 firms
  • Technically sound, thorough knowledge of IFRS and ISA
  • Experience in managing a portfolio of clients and ability to demonstrate strong project management skills. 
  • Sound judgement skills 
  • Strong skills in resolving conflicts and providing innovative solutions for challenges
  • Proven experience in a leadership or management role
  • Prior experience in working in a similar role (i.e. managing a pool of audit resources supporting audit teams) would be highly preferred.

Job Purpose: 

The Assistant Manager of the Audit Hub, specifically for a pool of UAE nationals, is responsible for managing the hub's operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit support services. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, maintaining compliance with audit standards, and driving continuous improvement within the department. The Assistant Manager will lead a team, foster a collaborative environment

Key Responsibilities:

Hub Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the audit hub.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve hub performance and service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant audit standards and regulations.
  • Manage hub budgets and resources efficiently.

Audit Support Services:

  • Coordinate and provide support for external auditors.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of audit documentation.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of audit methodologies and procedures.
  • Liaise with auditors and other stakeholders to facilitate the audit process.
  • Working closely with internal operations teams such as Resource Management 

Team Leadership:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of audit support professionals.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
  • Identify and address training and development needs within the team.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the audit hub.
  • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance audit support services.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure the audit hub is up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with a large number of stakeholders across all levels
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and expectations.
  • Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on hub performance.
