About the Role

Base Location: Glasgow or Perth.

Salary: £40,600 - £61,000 depending on experience + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available

As a Corporate Tax Accountant, you will work as part of our growing Tax team as well as finance teams throughout the wider group to help deliver SSE’s strategy including its ambitious Net Zero Acceleration Programme.  

- Assisting with corporate tax compliance for the SSE Group.

- Corporate tax accounting and reporting.

- Advising the wider Finance Teams and business across tax related issues.

- Assisting in the implementation of tax technology solutions and process improvement to streamline and improve tax compliance. 

- Supporting on a range of tax advisory projects and M&A transactions.

What do I need?

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

- A Chartered Tax Advisor qualification or an accounting qualification (CA/ACCA).

- Extensive professional experience in a leading accounting firm and/or in-house tax department, primarily on direct taxes.

- Experience of using AlphaTax or OneSource for corporate tax compliance and accounting.
