Our specialist Public Sector team provides distinctive audit and advisory services across five sectors – local government, central government, health and social care, education, housing and charities. About the role

  • As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will lead multiple audit engagements, overseeing and developing junior staff.
  • You will work closely with clients and be committed to providing an exceptional service.
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of stakeholder relationships at audited entities and can expect to work with senior level staff.
  • You will work closely with Senior leaders up to Partner level.

What are we looking for?

  • ACA / CA / ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
  • Experience of leading external audits from planning through to completion.
  • Relevant public services sector audit experience.
  • Up to date technical knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS102 and IFRS.
  • Experience of managing, training and coaching audit trainees.

This role can be based in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.
