Account & Operations Manager, InsurTech

The Account Management team plays a key role in building and optimizing our partnerships with leading travel insurance supply partners. As an Account & Operations Manager, you will be responsible for helping manage these supply partnerships and ensure we support them fully operationally.

What You Will Do:

  • Build and maintain positive relationships at all levels with all our insurance supply partners
  • Support each partnership operationally
  • Financial reconciliation of booking data, outstanding payments, and financial results to identify any discrepancies or errors
  • Validate supplier invoices using internal financial tools and booking data
  • Develop systems and processes to improve the way we work
  • Investigate any operational anomalies and work with the broader team to create solutions
  • Collaborate with internal teams, such as accounting, finance, and APRecon, to address and resolve reconciliation issues
  • Set up new supplier entities and supplier payment systems
  • Work closely with our supply partners, customer service, and product/tech teams when connectivity, technical issues/bugs, and regulatory / compliance concerns are raised
  • Help drive performance with our supply partners to achieve P&L targets
  • Enable initiatives that drive traveler and business impact within timelines
  • Monitor key metrics for every supply partner (NPS, attach rate, monetization, claim frequency, paid claim rate, profitability, and more)
  • Help maintain tools/processes to optimize performance (SOPs, SLAs, supplier performance dashboards, etc.)
  • Organize transparent and effective business reviews, including weekly supplier calls, MBRs, and steering / executive committee meetings
  • Work closely with customer service to address customer escalations and communicate results to the team
  • Drive optimization, automation, and simplification of processes to enable better traveler and business outcomes
  • Support regulatory / compliance operational needs across all global markets
  • Stay up to date on key industry developments and perform industry research as necessary
  • Cultivate relationships and work effectively cross‐functionally across the organization to support, address, and drive broader business issues or initiatives

Who You Are:

  • Build natural relationships and possess strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of partners with varying backgrounds
  • A strong problem solver with excellent analytical skills and a bias for using data to drive decision-making
  • Have strong attention to detail and don’t mind rolling up your sleeves
  • Are an excellent communicator with strong organization/prioritization skills
  • Comfortable with high-pressure situations and ambiguity
  • Have a bias to action with a voracious get-it-done attitude
  • Have over 6 years relevant work experience in a travel consumer, insurtech, fintech, or insurance environment, ideally with exposure to account management, operations, program management, and/or consulting

The total cash range for this position in Seattle is $110,500.00 to $155,000.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $177,000.00, which is the top of the range, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
