This position is for an experienced Financial Accountant in the not-for-profit sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Accounting & Finance team based in the Clapham/Balham area.

Description
- To perform monthly balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
- To accurately post income and perform monthly reconciliations of the Trust's central bank account, including supporting academy finance staff to reconcile their transactions.
- To update and manage the prepayments and accruals schedules on a monthly basis.
- To prepare the Central Trust transactions including intercompany transactions and recharges.
- To prepare the monthly trial balance, balance sheet and cashflow forecast.
- Prepare and submit the VAT returns
Profile
A successful Financial Accountant should have:
- Proven working experience as a Financial Accountant.
- Advanced degree in Accounting.
- CPA or CMA preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Experience with creating financial statements.
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills.
