Job Description & Summary

PwC Malaysia's Capital Projects & Infrastructure (CP&I) team consists of consulting professionals with expertise in providing financial and strategy advisory services for infrastructure projects. Our capabilities include financial feasibility, strategy development, project finance advisory, bid management & negotiations, project management and risk management for capital-intensive projects. We work across various infrastructure sectors such as aviation, transport and logistics (e.g. rail, ports), power and utilities (including energy transition), oil and gas, and real estate; throughout the infrastructure project and asset lifecycle.

As a Senior Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. PwC Professional skills and responsibilities for this management level include but are not limited to:

Responsibilities
  • Proactively assist in the management of several clients, while reporting to Directors and above
  • Train, support and lead team members
  • Establish effective working relationships directly with clients
  • Contribute to the development of your own and team's business and technical acumen
  • Keep up to date with local and national business and economic issues
  • Be actively involved in business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing clients
  • Develop internal relationships across the local firm and the global network
  • Keep up to date on new ways of working (e.g. adoption of new digital tools) and identify potential ways to incorporate into day-to-day work
  • Manage a range of stakeholders (e.g. client, subconsultants, regulatory bodies, Federal / State government ministries and agencies)
  • Ensure the deliverables adheres to the firms' policies and risk management requirements
  • To contribute to team's BD effort focusing on your industry specialisation

Requirements:

  • At least 8-10 years of experience with a background in either of the following: accounting, debt capital markets, corporate strategy, project management, engineering; across various industry sectors such as aviation, transport and logistics, power and utilities, oil and gas, and real estate.
  • Ability to see the big picture whilst having a critical eye on the details, and being able to connect the dots.
  • Excellent command of English (written and oral) skills; ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia and/or Mandarin is an added advantage
  • Good tertiary and / or professional qualifications.
  • Ability to navigate complex discussions and mediate conflicts.
  • Strong negotiation skills to manage stakeholder interests.
  • Solid technical abilities and a solution-oriented mindset.
  • Strong business and client relationship network
  • Aptitude to carry out business development efforts
  • Ability to present to various stakeholders at all levels (e.g. C-Suite, working level)
  • Any specific industry specialisation would be an advantage
