Job Summary

With the setup of SCB AG as a subsidiary in 2019, SCB AG has been undergoing a number of audits, both internal and external. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in dealing with external audit requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the external audit manager and other members of the audit team to ensure the efficient and effective completion of audits.
  • Supporting the COO Office in aspects of Governance, Risk, and Regulatory aspects
  • Management / Coordination of
    • All External Audits:
      • All statutory and regulatory audits (especially the Year End Audit, Annual WpHG (Securities Trading Act Audit), Annual AML Audit, Sec 44 BaFin regulatory audits, German Deposit Protection Fund audits etc)
      • Preparation for external audits, covering onboarding of auditors, obtain approvals for audits from Management Board / Supervisory Board/Audit Committee (including the check of Engagement Letters, audit fees, and approval)
      • Obtaining purchase order number for approved audit fees and processing of audit invoices
      • Managing information requests from Auditors, confirming ownership internally and tracking related responses during audit, provide guidance to teams at SCB AG and SCB Group
      • Tracking, reviewing, and challenging of management action plans (remediation), timely audit remediation
      • Investigate overdue items (for audit requests and remediation actions) and obtain relevant information for actioning/escalations
      • Production of audit MIS information for the Management
    • Legal Entity Annual Report
      • Close collaboration with Finance Team, coordination and tracking of delivery of the AG Annual Report including the comprehensive Management Report (“Lagebericht”)

Skills and Experience

  • Ideally 2+ years’ experience in banking or other relevant environment.
  • Knowledge of various banking regulations.
  • Experience working in a Project Management, Governance, or Risk environment.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and German, both written and verbally.
  • Advanced Excel skills and familiar with tracking of items.
  • Team-oriented but also able to act with own initiative and autonomously.
  • Pro-active and solution-oriented work attitude.
  • Ability to work under pressure and within tight timeframes.
  • Ability to interface credibly and confidently with seniors and audiences at all levels within key stakeholder groups, and to relate to and manage people (regardless of level).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to forge strong relationships with counterparts and stakeholders at varying levels of management.
