Job Summary:
Northern Trust is looking to recruit professionals for its Bangalore/Pune Centre. Successful recruit would be part of Northern Trust’s Corporate Financial Risk and will be responsible for working on many critical credit and counterparty risk regulations review, interpretation and implementation and testing along with monthly/ quarterly reporting. This is a highly visible role with frequent interactions with business partners across different geographies and divisions.

Experience: 2 to 4 years of relevant experience
Major Duties
- Support in regulatory interpretation, implementation review along with transaction testing and performing gap assessment for regulations impacting Credit risk (RWA calculations, SACCR, Large Exposure/SCCL)
- Perform a detailed analysis and root cause investigation of all implementation and transaction testing review and engage with the various teams to resolve the issues.
- Work closely with oversight risk committees presenting explanations for issues identified through the analysis.
- Support in internal transformation projects impacting different products.
- Support in daily/ weekly/ monthly/quarterly production of reports across key regulations like RWA/CECL/CCAR and SCCL
- Engage with first line organization, Business, Data and IT
- Contribute and credit committee tasks – working with stakeholders to create the meeting materials , action logs and overall ownership for the committee materials etc.
- Facilitate and Support strong controls over data, reports, and analysis, including automation, reconciliation and testing.
- Perform documentation, procedures & controls to enable accurate and timely reporting.
- Understanding of with risk related concepts, business processes, and must be able to communicate effectively through both written and verbal communication with senior management and other partners.
Qualification: Relevant experience with Python tools
Skills Required
- 2+ years of experience in Credit and counterparty risk.
- Strong knowledge of financial services and regulations around Risk management.
- Good understanding of financial products like derivatives, repo-style transactions etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated success challenging and influencing outcomes.
- Strong data, analytical, and problem-solving skills and strong hands-on experience with advanced excel and industry products like Axiom, Bloomberg etc.
