Who we are looking for

The Global Head of Currenex is responsible for the P&L and all management of Currenex, GlobalLinks FX ECN business. The Head of Currenex is responsible for strategic development and growth of the product, for meeting revenue, for expense and risk excellence targets globally, and for partnering effectively with other GlobalLink platforms and State Street Global Markets heads on joint strategic opportunities.

GlobalLink is State Street’s global suite of market-leading electronic trading platforms providing solutions for market participants designed to increase transparency, improve trading efficiency, and deliver quantifiable execution. Everything we do aims at making sure our clients value every aspect of GlobalLink, from our product and technologies to our ease of doing business and our support.

Due to the role requirements, this job needs to be performed primarily in the office with some flex work opportunities available.

What you will be responsible for

As a Head of Currenex, you will be responsible for

  • Develop and monitor the business plan and budgets in line with corporate goals
  • Ensure that the business has the right resources
  • Ensure that the businesses operate in compliance with internal and external regulations and that escalation procedures are followed
  • Conduct periodic business reviews ensuring associated risks are identified and managed and appropriate remedial action is taken where appropriate
  • Identify new business opportunities driven out of market, client, and regulatory demand and develop and implement business plans in line with corporate goals
  • Manage staff across products (both direct and indirect)
  • Work closely with sales, meeting with clients to understand their trading needs
  • Work collaboratively with GlobalLink centralized functions, including sales, operations, business risk management, and COO to ensure that business growth objectives are met and the team has the proper controls and procedures in place
  • Work across the GlobalLink, Global Markets, and State Street to ensure that GlobalLink is maximizing opportunities to provide our solutions to prospective clients
  • Create and monitor annual performance priorities and quantifiable metrics to continually assess performance
  • Cultivate and strengthen talent by ensuring appropriate training to assist them meet their core job expectations
  • Strengthen our talent through increased diversity, mobility, and promotion of employee engagement
  • Responsible for all compliance and regulatory aspects of Currenex business

What we value

  • Extensive knowledge of the FX ECN market
  • Proven management success (preferably within a large highly regulated multi-national organization)
  • Proven ability to build client relationships with key decision makers for our solutions including Heads of Businesses, Chief Operating Officers, Treasurers, and Traders at Banks, Asset Managers, and multi-national corporations
  • Ability to communicate feedback from clients and prospects back into the overall organization to improve delivery of solutions and improve the overall client experience.
  • Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionality to prioritize initiatives effectively
  • Display a culture of individual ownership of tasks to embed a clear individual sense of accountability in performing the role
  • Ability to effectively run and grow a P&L business, preferably in the FX ECN market

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree with relevant experience
  • Advanced degree preferred – MBA, CFA, etc
  • Minimum of 10 years of work experience in foreign exchange and/or financial technology product offering
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales/sales management capacities or 5+ years’ experience in a senior management capacity

Salary Range:

  • $170,000 - $267,500 Annual
