The Data Analytics and Automation Project Manager is a key role within the Tax and Legal Line of Service (LoS) Digital (iTech) team and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of data analytics projects focused on dashboard development and process automation. This role involves coordinating with cross-functional teams and stakeholders across the Middle East region to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, project management, and experience with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Projects will vary, such as: new and emerging technology solutions, data projects (analytics/visualization/engineering), managing specific initiatives plans and leading a programme of process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data analytics and automation projects.
    • Develop project timelines, milestones, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals.
    • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and communicate status to stakeholders.
    • Manage project budgets, resources, and dependencies.
  • Dashboard Development:
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into dashboard requirements.
    • Design, development, and deployment of interactive dashboards using tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
    • Ensure dashboards are user-friendly, visually appealing, and provide actionable insights.
  • Automation:
    • Identify opportunities for process automation within data analytics and reporting functions.
    • Oversee the implementation of automation solutions using tools like Python, RPA (Robotic Process Automation), or other relevant technologies.
    • Ensure automation processes are robust, scalable, and maintainable.
    • Designing and building data models to support business requirements
    • Developing and maintaining data ingestion and processing systems
    • Implementing data storage solutions (databases and data lakes)
    • Ensuring data consistency and accuracy through data validation and cleansing techniques
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders, including executives, business units, and technical teams.
    • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate project updates, gather feedback, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to understand their needs and ensure project success.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a team of data analysts, developers, and other project contributors.
    • Provide guidance on best practices in data analytics, dashboard design, and automation.
    • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of all data analytics deliverables.
    • Implement testing and validation processes for dashboards and automation workflows.
    • Continuously monitor and improve the performance of data analytics solutions.

Experience & Personal Attributes:

  • Four to Seven years of relevant experience in one, some or all domains above preferred.
  • Experience of undertaking analysis in a business environment, across a diverse portfolio of industries and/or functions, people, process and technology changes and has the ability to ‘see the bigger picture’ and ‘join the dots’.
  • Experience of working on a strategic role would be highly advantageous
  • Proficiency in programming languages (Python, or other mainstream object oriented languages)
  • Experience with current data technologies across the stack (preparation to visualization)
  • Knowledge of database management systems, both relational (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra)
  • Familiarity with data integration and ETL tools
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and techniques
  • End to end Project Management experience.
  • An adaptable individual who can comfortably take on a varied portfolio of change assignments spanning business and technology domains.
  • Interpersonal skills and strong stakeholder engagement skills.
