As the Assistant Manager, you will oversee all payroll functions, including processing, compliance, and month-end/year-end closing activities. You will ensure accurate payroll operations, manage employee inquiries, and collaborate with auditors and stakeholders to maintain smooth and efficient payroll processes.

Description
- Oversee daily financial activities related to payroll, including month-end and year-end closing processes
- Handle pre-payroll tasks such as updating employee records, managing government claims, and ensuring all necessary data is accurate and current
- Execute payroll operations, including processing salary payments, CPF contributions, and handling all payroll-related transactions efficiently
- Manage post-payroll activities, such as calculating and providing bonuses, closing monthly and yearly accounts, submitting the IRAS Tax Declaration Annual Form 8E, and addressing employee payroll inquiries
- Regularly review and ensure adherence to statutory requirements and compliance standards
- Support and advise on structuring and developing the payroll team to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and tax agents on payroll-related matters
- Act as the primary contact for institutional Finance and HR staff, ensuring alignment and readiness to achieve business objectives
- Provide coverage for colleagues managing payroll processing for other company entities as needed
Profile
- 5 years' of experience in payroll management, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity
- Experience in SAP HRIS is an preferred
- Proficient in MS Office applications
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing team members effectively
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, combined with a customers-focused approach
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with multiple stakeholders simultaneously
- Capable of delivering results in a fast-paced environment, providing timely updates and reports to senior management
