The team is culturally diverse, comprising of many different nationalities, backgrounds and skills. ACDC offers end-to-end compliance support for clients and is powered by advanced technology and automation, robust processes, and a highly skilled team of client centric professionals. Be part of this exciting journey within KPMG and expand your compliance Knowledge across the region, whilst you are being coached and trained by multiple professionals across the firm.ResponsibilitiesReview Value Added Tax (VAT) / Goods and Services Tax (GST) / Withholding Tax (WHT) returns and other tax related reports prepared by junior colleagues Conduct thorough reviews of tax returns, forms, and related documents to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with tax laws and regulations. Review and file tax returns accurately and timely Review draft letters for clients, summarizing facts, analyzing specific solutions and recommendations Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations. Research and interpret tax laws, providing guidance to the team and stakeholders to ensure compliance Identify and analyze discrepancies or errors in tax documents. Investigate issues, make necessary corrections, and provide guidance to preparers to ensure accuracy Identify and lead ad hoc projects such as automation of work, optimizing process effectiveness Acting as a mentor for 3-5 people in the group Support Management at relevant engagement meetings. Become proficient with the tools used for Indirect Tax Compliance Providing training to team members for jurisdiction assigned as required Support the knowledge transfer and on-boarding process of the new clients as required Work closely with ASPAC teams delivering services who are based across jurisdictions to ensure the overall client experience is always top quality RequirementsBSc or MSc graduate in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science, or a related field CPA/ACCA/MIA/CIMA or relevant professional certification will be an added advantage 4 to 5 years of experience in a Tax related function with strong exposure to Indirect Tax Strong written and spoken English language knowledge is a must (other languages will be an added advantage) Strong Indirect Tax technical knowledge, preferably ASPAC region Ability to identify potential problems and issues and articulate them clearly to clients Proven advanced Excel knowledge PowerBI, Microsoft Dynamics and SQL knowledge will be an added advantage Demonstrate adaptability and composure when faced with challenging and demanding situations Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed promptly, fostering a supportive and cohesive work environment Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple returns simultaneously meeting deadlines without compromising quality Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and coaching junior team members KDN is inclusive!Everyone brings a unique perspective.
