A&T Senior Accountant

Job Purpose:

As A&T Associate Accountant, you will be in charge, within TMF’s accounting department, of the support to our international clients in their establishment and development in Belgium.

Under the supervision of a Senior Accountants/ Supervisor, you will be required to perform all types of work on your client portfolio, in all areas of the accounting expertise.

Key Responsibility:

1. Responsible for the timely and correct handling of all matters concerning the day to day bookkeeping of the client portfolio
2. Monitoring of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank, lettering, payroll and payments
3. Preparation and assistance of monthly, quarterly, and year end reporting’s of the clients under the requested format
4. Preparation of VAT, corporate income tax returns, withholding tax returns, and other filings
5. Monthly and annual closing transactions; preparation of annual financial statements
6. Preparation of closing files and all supporting documentation
7. Supervision of the more junior accountants

Job specific requirements

1. Professional knowledge of English (B1 level minimum);
2. Bachelor in Accounting - Master in Tax or equivalent
3. Member or trainee of the ITAA (Belgian Institute for Tax Advisors and Accountants) is a plus
4. At least 2 years’ experience in accounting firms or multinational environment;
5. Autonomy, anticipation, responsiveness, hands on mentality and team spirit is key
6. Good communication skills towards managers and subordinates (Junior Accountant);
7. Knowledge of at least one accounting software: Kluwer, Winbooks, Silverfin, Exact Online, …
8. Good level of Microsoft office tools (Excel, Outlook, Teams) is an asset
