Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be involved in the planning and execution of audit assignments throughout Trinidad and Tobago and the Caribbean. Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing external audits, including controls and substantive testing, as required.
  • Ensuring audit assignments are performed in a timely manner and in accordance with the International Auditing Standards together with PKF International Standards.
  • Leading and directing audit teams and reporting directly to qualified and experienced managers and partners.
  • Fostering relationships with the client and acting as an ambassador for the Firm.
  • Preparing internal and external reports.
  • Demonstrating a team player attitude committed to quality, integrity and impeccable ethical principles.
  • Developing an understanding of the client’s business and actively identify and contribute ideas and prospects to apply the firm's services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Professionally qualified with a recognized accounting body (e.g. ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) or currently working towards qualification.
  • At least two years’ experience in an auditing environment. 
  • Experience in a professional accounting firm
  • Knowledge and working experience in applying the International Financial Reporting Standards and Internal Auditing Standards.
  • Flexible and willing to travel.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Power Point)
