This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Financial Accounting team within Group Finance at a FTSE 100 listed company. Working within the team you will have responsibility for preparing information on the Group’s financial results and will work closely with our Brand Finance teams, Tax team, and Total Platform team in reporting on the monthly and statutory positions of the multiple international businesses. You will also be involved in helping set up processes and controls for the newly emerging international businesses.

Focussed and dynamic, you’ll also have the opportunity to work across our main trading business to replicate good practices to help shape the financial reporting of our international businesses. You will have one direct report. You will also get the opportunity to be involved in the half-year and full-year reporting pack that is issued in September and March.

What will you actually be doing?

Reporting to the International and Total Platform FC (Group), you will support within the International and Total Platform Group team (a team of 5) and support the wider Group function. You will have responsibility for reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, oversight of monthly reporting and input into reporting to the City by helping to pull together the half-year and year-end reporting for the International divisions along with any updates for quarterly trading statements. You will help build and implement the internal reporting framework for the business as it expands and develops new sales opportunities within Total Platform, Total Enterprise Platform, and Internationally.

In a varied role, you will have the opportunity to work through the full financial cycle and during the Group’s year end you will liaise with our external auditors, supporting the preparation of the Annual Report and Accounts for a FTSE 100 business and manage the individual legal entity statutory process. You will also have the opportunity to add and develop processes.

With strong attention to detail your focus will be to ensure that information is promptly recorded, reconciled, reviewed, and ultimately suitable for consolidation into our monthly board reporting.

This list is not exhaustive. This is a new role and there is the ability to make this role your own.
