Who we are looking for

We are looking for an experienced hands on fund accounting professional to join the Fund Accounting Group management team. This managerial position has responsibility for managing the day to day Fund Accounting administration service ensuring that all deliverables are produced and delivered on time and in accordance with client service level agreements and agreed quality standards. The ideal candidate will have the full support of their team colleagues but the candidate must be hard working, conscientious, responsive, work to deadline and show initiative and care for their work and clients.

What you will be responsible for

As an Officer you will

  • Manage the accounting NAV delivery process for a new client launch ensuring that all deliverables are quality controlled and delivered on time, in accordance with client service level agreements
  • Actively assist in the Dealing Date accounting process - providing reporting of the highest quality and accuracy in a timely manner to meet the needs of our client
  • Manage workflow, ensuring procedures are up-to-date, providing training to strengthen technical skills, coupled with furthering the soft skills within your team
  • Work closely with our colleagues in each of our Lux Oversight locations, responding to their queries and requests
  • Be accountable for all the assigned tasks, resolve complex issues and escalate as needed acting with a sense of urgency to meet required deliverables
  • Build a collaborative relationship with inter-departmental contacts and achieve business goals
  • Assist in making enhancements to the daily operating model; 
  • Be pro-active in taking responsibility of supporting project, migrations, etc
  • Assist in semi-annual & annual audits
  • Coordinate On-The-Job training for staff members and assist the Manager with staff development and succession planning
  • Client and regulatory reporting
  • Error resolution and reporting
  • Review and update department operational processes, to ensure controls remain effective and mitigate operational risk wherever possible
  • Collaborate with teams across our global operating model to service our clients
  • Manage team members and actively participate in their personal and career development

Education & Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study.
  • 5+ years of fund accounting experience with GL double entry expertise
  • PC Skills – Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Preferred experience with Alternative Investment Asset Classes, complex fund structures and fee calculations desired
  • Preferred experience with ISS and Geneva applications
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to priorities under pressure; adapt to work under given timeline;
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills;
  • Detail-oriented, owner’s mindset, logical thinking, strong learning ability, sense of responsibility and team work are required;
  • Good interpersonal skill and team spirit; effective communication, organizational and negotiation skills;
  • Self-motivated, creative and efficient in finding solutions to complex, time-critical problems and strong analytical ability.
