Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee our accounting department's daily operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information, managing financial reporting, and implementing and maintaining internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audit, experience in financial statement preparation, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and company policies.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Lead the annual budgeting process and provide ongoing financial analysis and support to management.
- Coordinate and manage external audits, including liaising with auditors and providing necessary documentation and support for our clients.
- Implement and maintain accounting systems and software to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, including training and development opportunities.
- Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and drive process improvements.
- Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; IFRS Diploma certification preferred.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting or finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Prior experience in audit, preferably in a public accounting firm, is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and analysis.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of managing and developing a team.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software applications.
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Experience with NAV Dynamics or similar ERP systems is highly preferable.
- Willingness to travel as needed for client engagements.
- Knowledge of GCC market and regulations is a plus.
