Job Description & Summary

Tax Technology Business Analyst profile

Job overview:

The Business Analysis is a key role within the Tax and Legal Line of Service (LoS) Digital Assets Delivery team and will be responsible for leading business and process analysis activities and delivering one or more Assets Delivery Projects.
This will be a role in which the role holder is capable of undertaking strategy workshops, defining detailed business needs and requirements, process analysis assignments.
They will work in close collaboration with all Digital Assets Delivery team members and will lead on specific process and analysis, including assessing As-is status, working with business stakeholders to create business requirements, as well as supporting analysis and modeling for business cases.

About you:

  • Responsible for translating business requirements into detailed functional specifications, ensuring clarity and alignment with project goals. Conducting thorough research and analysis to identify gaps, risks, and opportunities for improvement in existing processes and systems.
  • Work closely with the development team to ensure accurate implementation of requirements, providing guidance and clarification as needed.
  • Facilitate effective communication between stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that all parties are aligned and informed throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support user acceptance testing (UAT) to validate that the delivered solution meets the defined requirements and business needs.
  • Complete the user documentation for the solution and ensure it’s up to date at all times.
  • Apply the proactive approach to project management by providing an “extra 10%” effort to ensure efficient stakeholder collaboration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of their objectives and desired outcomes.

About the team:

  • You will work with a team of tax and tax technology specialists that automate direct tax operations and implement or develop technology solutions.
  • You will be part of business development activities to grow our team and offerings.
  • You will have an active client facing role to tackle complex direct tax operation issues and advice on which technology is most suited (ERP, EPM, Tax software) or other tailor-made solutions.
  • You will provide both functional requirements for implementation but also design high-level architecture solutions.
  • You will work alongside the PwC network and collaborate to implement technology solutions such as ERP implementation, tax reporting softwares or consolidation tools.
