About Chief Administrative Office within Audit Services:
The CAO Team is responsible for providing centralized administrative support to the Audit Services department across a number of disciplines, including: program-level support of annual audit plan execution, resource planning, global project and initiative oversight, communication strategy, and employee engagement. Team members within the CAO team are encouraged to build authentic relationships with global managers, think creatively, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
Role/ Department:
The Business Manager is responsible for managing and prioritizing a portfolio of projects and initiatives on behalf of assigned Audit Services’ stakeholder teams, including monitoring progress against departmental targets (e.g., resource utilization, plan schedules and deadlines), identifying and escalating bottlenecks, resourcing constraints, or dependencies, and addressing the sequencing of work as needed. This role produces necessary MIS and reporting to support informed decisions and provides leadership and execution guidance to teams on behalf of management. The position supports a number of functional / business unit (BU) audit teams through a central operating model.
The role will report directly to the Audit Director, Operations with indirect reporting to assigned functional Managing Director(s).
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- Project managing annual audit planning
- Overseeing the risk assessment update process
- Tracking key deliverables and identifying and escalating realized and potential obstacles and delays
- Coordinating, attending, and tracking actions from team meetings
- Driving continuous monitoring operationalization and processes to ensure documentation and quality requirements are met
- Thinking strategically to connect the dots across BU teams and relaying key themes to MDs
- Overseeing team scheduling and delivery to identify and resolve potential roadblocks
- Collaborating with other Business Managers to deliver consistency across all teams globally
- Assessing department processes for efficiency and effectiveness
- Monitoring and creating team KPIs to drive performance
- Communicating quality expectations and driving accountability
Skills/ Qualifications:
- Deep understanding of the end-to-end internal audit process, including annual planning, risk assessments and project execution (planning through reporting)
- Strong attention to detail
- Problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to influence without direct authority and comfort providing reasonable challenge to senior management
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- Proven ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong work ethic
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications - advanced MS Excel skills preferred
