Financial Reporting Manager

This role will serve as a key figure in the retail industry, ensuring accurate financial reporting and implementing robust governance procedures within the Accounting & Finance department.

Description

• Oversee all financial reporting procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Ensure integrity of the Balance Sheet through management and monitoring of reconciliations, both locally and through the European Financial Share Services.
• Identify and highlight any potential process and control issues for review.
• Monitor systems and processes around the Governance area, identify any potential areas of weakness or improvement, target them and proactively offer workable, practical solutions
• Develop and implement robust governance procedures within the department.
• This role requires supervision and support to junior members of the team.
• Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure financial controls are in place and effective.
• Provide strategic financial insights to help guide business decisions.
• Manage a team of financial professionals, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
• Stay abreast of industry regulations and standards, ensuring the company remains in compliance.
• Participate in key projects as a financial representative.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding financial performance and strategies.

Profile

The successful candidate will have:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• ACA/ACCA.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting and governance procedures.
• Experience in managing a high-performing team.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• A proactive approach to staying updated on industry standards and regulations.
