This role is responsible for supporting the Wealth Management (WM) business unit in a coordinated effort with Enterprise Risk to strengthen, coordinate, and execute Operational Resiliency including but not limited to Risk & Control Self-Assessment, Business Continuity, and Vendor Oversight.
The key responsibilities of the role include:
- WM Operational Resiliency Program Implementation
- Execute operational processes, template reviews, and key metrics as directed by the Operational Resiliency Oversight Lead
- Perform recurring Resiliency Assessments on a regular basis
- Effectively communicate and develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, risk program owners, and subject matter experts to help ensure a solid understanding of & compliance with program requirements
- Resilience and Continuity
- Work closely with the business partners, risk, and compliance to ensure that WM is compliant with the regulatory expectations and policies, including maintaining dialogue with key partners and suppliers to allow the business to assess ongoing risks to supply/system outages and make alternative plans in a timely fashion if required
- Participate on teams to develop and execute strategies that increase savings & efficiency, gain productivity where possible, and reduce risk
- Risk Management & Compliance
- Maintain a close working relationship with process owners to help reduce risk; support regular performance management discussions for key areas to ensure that any issues are surfaced and can be mitigated before they become a problem
- Support escalation processes for incident reporting and other key risks and support resolving incidents and challenges
- Support periodic compliance assessments to mitigate risk associated with legislation or company standards
- Support other Enterprise Risk projects, programs, and initiatives (e.g. End-User Computing) as appropriate to maintain a strong control environment within the BU and to help ensure compliance with program or regulatory requirements
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a critical thinker
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Self-starter, with ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and other business analytics tools
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change
- A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk, and/or other relevant field is highly preferred
- 3 + years of related experience in Operational Control and / or Resiliency, Business Continuity, Third Party Management, Audit, or other relevant field is a plus
- Wealth Management experience a plus
