Job Description & Summary
A career in our Oracle Risk Assurance practice, within Information Technology Risk Assurance will allow you to develop and apply strategies that help clients leverage enterprise technologies so they can get a higher return on their investment, mitigate risks, streamline processes, and find operational inefficiencies. The work revolves around creative problem solving and applying innovative technologies to enable strategies that increase the value of the applications that run our client's business, mitigate risk and find operational inefficiencies.

Our focus is on creating effective and efficient design for the most important business, security and compliance processes for our clients. We touch on aspects of application security, areas prone to fraud and financial misstatement, and streamline processes that are part of our client's core business so they can get a higher return on this key investment. Using innovative, and proprietary technologies, we help to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, compliance functions and Information Technology teams to assist in understanding how to embrace new ways of working, while limiting their financial and operational risk profile. We use knowledge of financial system design, risk mitigation, business process design, data integrity, security and use of data analytics.

Requirements
  • Must be a Namibian Citizen;
  • Persons with disabilities and from previously disadvantaged designated groups are strongly ;
  • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant Hons. Degree in Information systems, IT-Internal Audit, Software engineering/Computer Technology or Accounting is a requirement;
  • Audit Articles will be an advantage;
  • IT Audit certification such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is a requirement;
  • Must have 10 years' relevant IT and or audit experience;
  • Must have a good understanding of new Technologies such as Cloud, APIs, Data related Technologies or current technologies;
  • Good report writing skills;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Previous experience in program development will be an added advantage;
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team environment;
  • Ability to work in a pressurised and stressful environment; and
  • Ability to meet deadlines.

Duties
  • Departmental team leader and responsible for the management of the IT Audit practice;
  • Main point of contact and overall responsible project lead, under supervision of the Director;
  • Manage the work performance of IT Audit staff members;
  • Continuous training and development of junior staff members;
  • Financial portfolio management - including management of budgeting / forecasting, actual production, billing and cash collections;
  • Managing internal and external stakeholders;
  • Responsible for the development and execution of a department strategy, in line with the firm's strategic direction;
  • Support Director in the business development strategies on a departmental level, as well as improvement of delivery;
  • Conduct general IT Control reviews as well as IT application control reviews on a regular basis;
  • Marketing and development of the Namibian IT Audit practice to further extend the IT Audit practice service offerings. This will include reviewing and sign off on proposals;
  • Provide IT systems audit support to the Namibian Assurance and Internal Audit practices;
  • Perform industry specific end-to-end reviews of financial and business process, including -SAP and Oracle ERP reviews;
  • IT Governance reviews.
