Apple’s Global Fixed Asset team is a centrally managed global organisation that supports Apple’s four shared service centres around the world, including Austin, Cork, Shanghai, and Singapore. Our team is responsible for managing Apple’s fixed assets across multiple lines of business such as Research & Development, Retail, Real Estate & Development, Tooling, Infrastructure Finance, and AppleCare, to name a few.
The team is passionate about driving global standardization, optimization of processes and systems, and developing a governance framework for rock-solid compliance and excellence in reporting across US & local GAAP books and records.
Description
- Plan and coordinate across 85+ legal entities, local reporting deliverables on Apple’s Fixed assets, and ensure all is completed to a high standard.
- Analyse the designated Local GAAP accounting treatment of Fixed Assets globally across all legal entities.
- Develop and document a governance model to support Apple’s Global Fixed Asset Statutory & Tax reporting process.
- Determine the appropriate GAAP and related Local policy elections for Global Fixed Assets legal entity reporting, when a new site or material site change arises.
- Ensure local GAAP legislation is accurately applied to the fixed asset ERP system SAP and incorporated into the finalised financial statements.
- Demonstrate & identify areas of opportunities for alignment and automation within the statutory account’s preparation & local tax return computations.
- Review of SFS disclosures across various reporting GAAP, including statutory packs provided to Apple’s external auditors to support the annual audit of Apple’s financial statements.
- Co-ordination of other specific local reporting requirements in the country including tax audits/enquiries & ensuring these are made in a compliant & timely manner.
- Support the implementation of projects impacting Global Fixed Assets. Drive Quarterly Business reviews within the Global Fixed Asset team on the line of business activities to build legal entity knowledge supporting accurate accounting & disclosures in Apple’s Local financial statements.
- Own the gathering of global metrics for US & local GAAP operations across Asset Operations and Quarter/Year-end reporting.
Minimum Qualifications
- Accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACA, ACCA etc
- Excellent SAP knowledge or equivalent ERP experience
- Knowledge and application of IFRS & Local GAAP
