Become a part of EY’s Financial Services (FS) team as a Senior Consultant and help shape the future of finance, data and risk management. With 2+ years of experience in Finance, Data or Risk, you'll be part of a rapidly growing team tackling complex challenges and driving transformation on a global scale.

The Finance competency at EY is a multifaceted team that focuses on providing expert guidance and support to clients in navigating complex regulatory landscapes, managing and analysing finance and risk data, and implementing finance transformation initiatives.  Our goal is to drive the finance functions’ effectiveness, agility and value contribution within the clients organisation which can include integration of new technologies, optimisation of processes and the adoption of innovative practices.

At FS Consulting, we work closely with global teams and clients to solve intricate business problems through strategic solutions. We provide innovative approaches to unlock valuable insights and address our clients' most pressing issues.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a client engagement teams with diverse skills and backgrounds. Strong understanding of core business and finance operations gained through involvement/ delivery of projects.
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability including logical reasoning, creative thinking and the ability to untangle complex issues for improving existing business processes and workflows
  • Deliver high-quality work products within expected timeframes and on budget
  • Demonstrate understanding in project management fundamentals, including RAID logs, status reports, and meeting minute
  • Collaborate with clients to identify their business goals, processes, and challenges, converting these insights into detailed functional requirements
  • Facilitate workshops and interviews with stakeholders to collect and document business requirements, process flows, use cases, and user stories
  • Support EY's service offerings, actively contributing to a diverse range of service deliveries
  • Innovate and develop creative solutions to client challenges, enhancing strategic and operational outcomes
  • Articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to ensure stakeholder understandin
  • Maintain strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, consistently delivering high-quality results on schedule
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted client relationships, representing EY with professionalism and establishing credibility
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and developments in the Financial Services industry to foster innovation and contribute to Finance Competency practice development specifically in areas of thought leadership, RFP support, operations and training
  • Work effectively within EY engagement teams and communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, promoting a collaborative and productive team environment

To qualify for the role, you must have:

  • Strong academic record including a third level degree, preferably in a finance/data/risk, business, or project related area
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in delivering change in a finance function environment – gained either from prior experience in consulting or through a track record of delivering change/transformation projects in industry (Preferred industry experience include financial services, insurance, data transformation, financial risk management)
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills with a proven ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders
  • Proven experience in developing structured presentations using PowerPoint and analytic skills using Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of finance and accounting technology landscape and key trends in this space as well as wider implications on the Financial Services industry
  • Quick to understand intricate business challenges and devise suitable solutions
  • Be experienced of full project lifecycle from concept through to implementation
  • Skilled at overcoming obstacles and barriers.
  • Demonstrate professionalism and rapidly establish personal credibility
  • Exhibit strong personal impact and resilience, with the ability to influence clients and stakeholders to secure support for major changes and critical decisions
  • Collaborative team player with a forward-thinking mindset, self-motivated, thrives on new challenges, and quickly adapts to learning new knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders

Ideally, you will also have:

  • Previous experience in Consulting or relevant industry experience in a Financial institution
  • Knowledge of regulations such as Basel IV, BCBS 239, and Solvency II is an advantage.
  • Project Management Cert/Qualification/ACCA/CIMA/ACA​ is an advantage.
  • Lean six sigma qualification is an advantage.
  • Project Management and/or Agile certification
