About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Finance Manager to join our team.
As the Corporate Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Easy Solar's financial strategy and ensuring the company's continued growth and success. You will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision-making, with a focus on optimising financial performance, managing risk, and securing capital for expansion. This role involves working closely with senior management to make data-driven decisions that align with the company's strategic goals.

As the Corporate Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in driving Easy Solar's financial strategy and ensuring the company's continued growth and success. You will be responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, reporting, and decision-making, with a focus on optimising financial performance, managing risk, and securing capital for expansion. This role involves working closely with senior management to make data-driven decisions that align with the company's strategic goals.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Capital Management:
- Collaborate with senior management and financial advisors to develop long-term financial strategies and plans.
- Evaluate potential investment opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, and new projects, and provide recommendations.
- Optimise the company's capital structure, managing debt and equity financing to ensure adequate liquidity and financial stability.
- Support the CEO & CFO in fundraising efforts, including debt and equity financing, to support Easy Solar's growth initiatives.
- Seek out grant opportunities on an ongoing basis, lead applications and contracting and manage reporting requirements for all active grants.
- Reporting and Stakeholder Management
- Prepare and present accurate and timely board reports and minutes to senior management and the board of directors
- Provide regular reports to external stakeholders on company performance and on request as needed.
- Manage relationships with investors and lenders, ensuring compliance with all financial covenants and reporting requirements.
- Represent company at industry conferences
- Manage third parties (lawyers, investment advisors)
- Risk Management
- Identify and assess financial risks, implementing strategies to mitigate them.
- Oversee the company's insurance programs, ensuring adequate coverage and cost-effectiveness.
- Financial Operations:
- Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company has sufficient liquidity to meet its operational and investment needs.
Required Skills, Education & Experience:
- Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional Certification: CPA, CFA, or similar certification is highly desirable.
- 5-10+ years of relevant experience in corporate finance, ideally in a high-growth environment or within the renewable energy sector, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role( experience in the renewable energy sector will be a strong advantage.)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings effectively.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising, financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working in emerging markets, particularly in West Africa, is a plus.
- Passion for sustainable energy solutions and commitment to making a positive impact on the environment.
