Description

This role is accountable for owning the relationship with the clients' representatives, as well as taking responsibility for preparation of financial and regulatory returns and keeping the day to day administrative tasks and reconciliations of the fund on track and ensuring their correctness.

Job specification
  • Assist with the preparation of financial and management accounts, statutory returns, taxation and other financial reporting
  • Assist in the preparation of various ATO required statements and returns.
  • Respond in a timely manner to client enquiries and attend any regular client meetings.
  • Manage and review various reconciliations that are required to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Acting as the internal Apex representative on all matters financial for the client.
  • Monitor, reconcile and report fund equity/reserves, including administration, ORFR, investment and insurance reserves.
  • Manage bank accounts and monitor cash balances, including overseeing the bank reconciliation process
  • Preparation of documents and work papers for BAS and IAS.

Skills Required:
  • RG146 Superannuation qualifications.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, finance or related discipline.
  • CA or CPA Professional Qualification.
  • 3+ years of demonstrated accounting experience.
  • Knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards, Accounting Principles, and taxation of superannuation funds.
  • Strong reasoning skills, with the ability to critically assess data and make objective judgements.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to high standards of client service with balanced focus on priorities of the business.
  • Continual improvement mindset and a desire to strive and achieve optimal results.
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed PC skills eg. Word, Excel, Outlook with speed and accuracy.
