Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly and quarterly closing process for multiple separate company financial statements including reconciliation of balance sheet and income statement accounts.
  • Specific areas of responsibility include primary contact of Malaysia’s accounting and operations, account payables lead for Malaysia and Singapore entity, local statutory compliances, execution and continuous process improvement process as well as assistance with other miscellaneous close activities.
  • Work closely with shared services and support local business partners
  • Improves and assists in the creation of new processes to optimize and standardize our global accounting processes.
  • Partners with peers on the team as well as cross functionally with those in other areas such as Analytical Finance, Treasury and Tax.
  • Responsible for performing daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual accounting requirements, including but not limited to journal entries, reconciliations, analysis of activities and reporting.
  • Supports other activities and processes such as SOX, manufacturing costing, external audits and internal audits.
  • Performs other special projects as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
  • At least 6 - 10 years working experience in areas of auditing (>3 years) and accounting and management reporting (>3 years); Big 4 or mid-tier firms
  • Manufacturing industries background is a plus
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience and passion about Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
  • Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements and periodicals
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), well adverse in developer function and macro is a plus)
