We are currently seeking Semi Senior Accountant to join our team. As a Senior Accountant you will gain exposure to a range of taxation and accounting tasks. Comprehensive training and assistance will be provided.
To be considered for these positions, candidates should be partially qualified ACCA members / or similar qualification or sound demonstrable work experience. A minimum of 12 months of prior experience in an UK BASED ACCOUNTING FIRM would be MANDATORY.
Primary Duties:
- Maintain accurate financial records (bookkeeping) using various software platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, VT, Sage 50, Freeagent, Clear Books, and Excel.
- Prepare financial statements, including necessary disclosures, in accordance with FRS-105 and FRS-102 standards.
- Calculate Corporation Tax in compliance with UK tax legislation.
- Draft correspondence letters and other essential documents.
- File financial statements and corporation tax returns with both Companies House and HMRC.
- Compile VAT returns in adherence to UK VAT regulations.
- Complete individual personal income tax returns in accordance with UK tax legislation (desirable).
- Maintain monthly payroll records using Sage 50 payroll software (advantageous).
- Experience in managing a team, being a team player, and possessing team-building capabilities is essential.
Requirements:
- ACCA Part Qualified or substantial work experience, even without an ACCA qualification or accounting degree.
- Preference for candidates with prior experience in UK-based firms.
- Proficiency in Xero, Sage 50, Clear Books, Freeagent, QuickBooks, VT, and Excel is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 1.5 to 2 years of experience in a similar role within a reputable organization.
- Strong analytical, communication, and computer skills are essential.
- Demonstrated understanding of accounting and financial processes.
- Exhibit ethical and professional conduct.
- Proven experience in team management and team building, with a strong emphasis on fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
- Must be able to manage tasks independently from initiation to finalization.
