We are seeking to recruit an Accountant to join our client's finance team to support their growth ambitions. This role requires a motivated professional to support the financial team to maintain rigorous financial stewardship across their business entities. The role of the Accountant is to assist the department with any financial-related task related to managing accounts on behalf of the company, and be the link between order and invoice to ultimately receive the payment from the customers.
ABOUT OUR CLIENT
Our client is a company which provides a vast range of solutions and services that cater to the needs of any cosmetic company in the packaging industry and is located in Zejtun.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain financial records for subsidiary companies by analysing balance sheets and general ledger accounts.
- Prepare management accounts and present financial results to management.
- Prepare cash-flow report and prepare payment plan.
- Reconcile general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information for inter and/or intra companies.
- Prepare a 3-month forecast collating information from sources and sales offices, showing forecasted numbers versus the actual numbers.
- Compile due diligence forms requested by banks as per requirements.
- Handle any insurance claims of the whole group.
- Process VAT Recaps and VAT Returns.
- Support in the preparation of the group budget.
- Prepare any documentation necessary for company audits.
- Prepare Proformas for clients as necessary.
- Follow-up debtors and issue debtors’ report.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
- Have a minimum of 3 years' Accounting experience.
- Knowledge of ERP Systems, preferably on Business Central.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, Outlook and Teams.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Be able to plan and deal with unexpected changes on a day-to-day basis and must be able to work with tight deadlines.
- Ability to work on his/her own initiative.
- S/he must have good written and verbal communication skills and a sound knowledge of the English Language.
EDUCATION
Have a Bachelor’s Degree MQF Level 6 in Finance, Accountancy or in possession of an ACCA qualification, or equivalent.
WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday, flexible hours from 08:30 till 17:00, 40 hours per week with 30 minutes daily break.
