The role belongs to our Accounting and Tax team that is responsible for providing word class accounting and tax services to our clients operating in Egypt and other countries within the region.

Since this is a senior role, you will stand as pivotal team member and assist the team with complex tax related matters, ensuring TMF’s clients are provided with efficient, professional, and high-quality services which meet all statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive tax services within legal deadlines.
• Implement procedural and guideline changes.
• Build, develop, and maintain client relationships.
• Prepare and file tax returns; monitor tax legislation changes.
• Manage tax audits and disputes, providing documentation and negotiating settlements.
• Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments for tax considerations in business decisions.
• Identify process weaknesses and implement solutions to ensure correct tax outputs.
• Manage tax risk and develop mitigation strategies.
• Review contract proposals for tax positions.
• Ensure timely submission of all tax payments and periodic returns.
• Build strong relationships with tax authorities.
• Periodic visits to the tax office to fulfill job-related duties;
• Attend client meetings as required.
• Oversee completion of know-your-client procedures.
• Process accounting and tax-related work.
• Prepare and submit accounts and reports per Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Prepare and submit VAT, WHT returns, and CIT provisions.

Key Knowledge and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in similar roles
• Experience in local and international tax, including VAT, withholding tax, corporate tax, and transfer pricing is mandatory.
• Proven track record within international outsourcing firm is an advantage.
• MENA & GCC tax experience with exposure to complex tax regulations will be highly preferred.
• Knowledge of international accounting practices (IFRS) is an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Odoo, Zoho, and SAP is a plus.
• Proficient in written and spoken Arabic and English.
• Ability to perform field work – visiting tax office on regular basis
• Characteristics: reliable, self-motivated, organized, able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong sense of responsibility and a positive attitude.
