Systems Accountant (EPM Reporting)

About the role

Reporting to the Reporting Lead within the Finance Transformation team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our finance transformation to Oracle Cloud by providing expertise in reporting technologies.

You will collaborate closely with the Reporting Lead and other team members to ensure the successful integration and utilisation of reporting capabilities within Oracle Cloud. You should possess a comprehensive knowledge and practical experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) procedures as well as ‘superuser’ engagement with the reporting tools within a financial system.

Responsibilities

  • Reporting Strategy Development: Assist the Reporting Lead in developing and executing a comprehensive reporting strategy aligned with the objectives of the finance transformation programme.
  • Requirements Gathering: Work closely with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements, analyse business needs, and translate them into technical specifications for Oracle Cloud reporting.
  • Report Development and Optimisation: Work closely with EPM Reporting analyst to Design, develop and optimise reports ensuring accuracy, reliability and timeliness of financial information.
  • Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure adherence to data governance standards and regulatory requirements in reporting processes. 
  • Perform quality checks on reports to maintain data integrity.
  • Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and optimisation within the reporting function. 
  • Implement enhancements to increase efficiency and usability.
  • Training and Support: Provide support to end-users on Oracle reporting tools and processes. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance on best practices for report creation and interpretation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate updates.

About you

  • Strong understanding of financial planning and analysis (FP&A) processes and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of Oracle EPM Cloud applications preferable but not necessary (including Planning, Financial Consolidation and Close, Profitability and Cost Management, Account Reconciliations and other related modules).
  • Understanding of OLAP multidimensional models eg: TM1, Essbase desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions and levels of the organisation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate financial reports.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
