FSSC Manager (Open to Public Competition) Bord na Móna is developing new sustainable businesses, that will deliver greater returns for its employees and the wider community. The Role: Our Finance Function currently wish to recruit a FSSC Manager, on a permanent contract. This role will report to the Head of Shared Services. The main duties and responsibilities of the role will include the following: Manage the service delivery of consistent and efficient processes to the Bord na Móna business units for the Purchase to Pay, Order to Cash, Master Data Management, and Payroll functions, ensuring the continual development of the services provided. Manage the provision of financial processes within the Bord na Móna Financial Shared Services centre, embedding a continuous improvement ethos with the FSSC and work with Finance Business Partners to eliminate process non-compliance, achieve process standardisation and agree increased process automation. Manage the following process areas within the FSSC: 1. Purchase to Pay (including employee expenses) 2. Order to Cash 3. Master Data Management 4. Payroll 5. Continuous Improvement Ensure that all processes are documented in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) which are reviewed and updated on a yearly basis or more frequently where necessary. Responsible for the transition of new divisions/ acquisitions into the FSSC ensuring the identification of gaps between the as-is processes and the to-be processes and establishing a plan with the relevant parties to migrate to the FSSC process offering. Manage the continuous process improvement via KPI reporting and the development and execution of implementation plans for the identified improvements. Provide leadership and support to the FSSC team members in the day to day operations of the FSSC service, ensure FSSC team members are engaged with the service being provided and empowered to identify and implement process improvements that would benefit the end users. Support the R2R Manager in the completion of monthly/ yearly tasks required for financial reporting. Maintain and update Service Partnership agreements between Shared services and its internal customers and work with the IT function within Shared Services to provide consistency and visibility of service provision to Business Units supported by Shared Services. Work with the Head of Shared Services and FSSC management team to identify further value add services that could be provided by the FSSC and agree implementation timelines with relevant Business Units. Lead and Performance manage your direct report(s). Proactively participate in the Performance Management process to ensure delivery of own, and the wider team's objectives. The Person: The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification, skills, knowledge and attributes: Qualified accountant with a degree in Business or equivalent; 5 to 7 years management experience with a minimum of 2 years in a Shared Services Environment; Shared services delivery experience would be an advantage; Experience managing a finance function & managing a team of finance professionals; Experience of management within a Shared Services Structure and utilisation of KPI's is a requirement; Knowledge of Key Business Processes for the functional areas within FSSC; Knowledge of integrated ERP system (preferably Oracle); Knowledge of Six Sigma/ Lean methodologies an advantage; Must be self-motivated and have the ability to bring innovative processes to the role.
