Senior Risk Manager (Operational Risk) for a Commodity Trading MNC

• Min 12 years of related ops risk/ internal control/audit experience
• Has some ops risk experience gained with commodity firms or investment banks
• Role will cover implementing ops risks for a newly set up ERTM system

Our client is a renowned MNC.

For this role, you will manage a team and will be involved in implemeting ops risk control for a newly implemented Energy Trading Risk Mgt System (ETRM) for the next 1.5 years.Thereafter, you will play a broader senior ops risk function supporting the marketing functions to ensure that the marketing control framework is well implemented and any risks due to control lapses in process and governance failure are well mitigated.

Key responsibilities:

-Assess operational risk issues and ensure that the business adhere to controls, policies and procedures

-Implement IT controls and other general controls relating to the trading systems

-Perform internal control audits and assess ops risk. Present risk reports for senior management review

-Manage the enterprise risk management (ERM) and IA processes

-Manage a small team

Key requirements

• A degree with min 12 years of related ops risk/ internal control/audit experience gained with commodity firms or investment banks
• Commodity industry exp is preferred (but not a must)
• Expert Governance knowledge and strong controls knowledge / skills

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills

• Possess strong stakeholder management skills

• Excellent communication and presentation skills
