1. Tax Compliance:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations. Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Research and interpret tax laws and rulings to provide accurate advice and guidance to clients or the organization.
2. Tax Planning:
Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize financial outcomes for clients or the organization. Provide proactive tax planning advice to individuals, businesses, and organizations. Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and risks.
3. Client Consultation and Communication:
Meet with clients to discuss their tax situation, goals, and concerns. Communicate complex tax concepts in a clear and understandable manner to clients or stakeholders. Provide guidance and recommendations tailored to clients' specific needs and objectives.
4. Tax Research and Analysis:
Conduct research on tax issues, legislation, and regulations to stay updated on changes and developments. Analyze tax implications of business transactions, investments, and other financial activities. Prepare memoranda, opinions, and reports summarizing tax research findings and recommendations.
5. Audit Support and Resolution:
Assist clients or the organization in responding to tax notices and inquiries from tax authorities. Represent clients in tax audits and examinations, if necessary. Resolve tax controversies and disputes through negotiation or other means.
