Job Description & Summary

PwC’s Business Restructuring Services (BRS) team is currently the largest restructuring practice in the Middle East, with over 60 employees operating across various offices in the region. Our team helps organizations facing financial distress or insolvency with crisis recovery, administrative tasks, liquidation and insolvency proceedings. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.

We develop and implement realistic and pragmatic plans by applying restructuring and stakeholder management skills, functional knowledge, and proprietary assets and tools to support Executives in making difficult decisions and driving through change in a short timeframe. We help clients, among other things, to reduce balance sheet stress, generate cash and reduce costs or refinance to find the best source of capital to support their business objectives. Whatever the solution, we help them manage road blocks until the job is done.

What to consider before applying

This role requires the candidate to be based in our Dubai or Riyadh offices.

The Role

As a Deals Working Capital Senior Associate / Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Review of working capital cycles in a business, and (often rapid) diagnostic of key issues and areas for concern
  • Working closely with clients to diagnose the key issues then develop a sustainable solution and implement it, usually under tight time constraints
  • Financial analysis of opportunities for working capital reduction, within context of commercial requirements of business
  • Development of practical action plans to address working capital opportunities
  • Working alongside management to implement and support project plans
  • Post implementation reviews and monitoring of working capital performance improvement
  • Assessment of capabilities of operational and management teams within an organization and identification of skill gaps.
  • Tracking and evaluation of working capital performance.
  • Preparation of presentations and/or reports to key stakeholders (e.g. Board level/management).
  • Active contribution to the team's marketing efforts (both internal and external including preparing marketing material through to organizing marketing events.
  • Company, sector and market research and analysis using a wide variety of information sources.

The Requirements

  • 2+ years hands on working capital experience
  • Practical experience of managing improvement projects covering at least one of Payables, Receivables or Inventory processes
  • Sound financial analysis skills
  • Preferably previous experience in or exposure to complex stakeholder environments (with stakeholders such as Purchasing, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Management, Credit Control, etc)
  • Motivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environment
  • Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences
  • Keen to leverage technology enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients
  • Strong commercial awareness and business analysis skills
  • Exposed to managing working capital improvement / cost reduction/ cash flow
  • Willingness to participate in marketing and business development, demonstrating a proactive approach to the marketplace
  • Excellent verbal and written English (Arabic is a plus)
