Finance Accountant Manager – Bank Reconciliations Team

As a Financial Manager, you will manage the Bank reconciliation process across all our markets and support a qualified team. You will also contribute to the continued development of techniques and the improvement of processes and workflow for the function, delivering a quality and timely service.

What You’ll Do:

In your role, you’ll collaborate with different people across a range of skillsets. Here’s a flavour of your day-to-day:

  • Overall responsibility for Bank Reconciliations Process across 17 markets & growing.
  • Responsible for Reporting on Cash Flow activity reflected on Bank Statements across 17 markets & growing.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to business-focused initiatives, internal partners, leadership, or projects related to operations as necessary.
  • Contribute to risk assessments and take action to address the root causes that continually lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices.
  • Evaluate the current set of in-scope Reconciliations & Controls, recommending ways to optimize & further automate.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of the team and other closely related teams with quality and timeliness of service provided.
  • Continuous review & evolvement of outputs, together with effective reconciliations, ensure the appropriateness of controls in line with business requirements.
  • Coordinates audits, examinations, and deliverable requirements from internal and external reviewers by supporting coordinating activities within the team.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal & external customers and stakeholders through strong business partnering.
  • Develop the team responsible for Bank Reconciliations, coach and develop individual team members.

What You’ll Bring

  • You have professional qualifications in accounting (ACCA, ACA, CPA or equivalent).
  • Previous Experience in a similar role 4 + working in a rapidly growing environment and can bring experience of best practice gained.
  • Experience with team management, deploying team resources as appropriate to meet business goals and goals, and improving operating processes and practices.
  • Ability to guide, develop and motivate high-performance people & team, an individual that can confidently influence and coach others.
  • Good communication, interpersonal and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation.
  • Pro-active about supporting change and changing existing procedures and processes to best practice.
