Purpose of the Job 

To support the Hong Kong office and oversee its day-to-day finance function.


The role includes (but is not limited to) the following areas of responsibility:

  • Perform general accounting duties including accounts receivable, accounts payable and general ledger functions, accounting entries and bank reconciliation for Hong Kong office
  • Handle the period end and year end closing
  • Ensure compliance with Financial Reporting Standards and local regulatory requirements
  • Be responsible for banking relationships, cash-flow management and forecasting
  • Prepare annual budgets and work with all departments to ensure operational performance meets and exceeds targets
  • Provide timely and quality financial accounts and analysis to management, and other third parties as required
  • Be responsible for compliance with legal, tax, and other regulatory requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors and bankers
  • Manage payroll and compliance with MPF requirements if required
  • Any other reasonable and related duties as assigned


  • We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-driven Assistant Accountant with strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team oriented person able to work independently
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as an Accountant and ideally having previous working experience in a CPA or Corporate Services firm
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, prioritize work, self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision and be pro-active and responsive
  • Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written English
  • Applicant must be able to speak Cantonese, read and write Chinese. 
  • Strong computer skills including solid experience with MS excel, Word and SharePoint
  • Experience with Xero Accounting software or other cloud-based accounting systems would be highly advantageous
