Currently, we are looking for experienced candidates for the position of Reporting Specialist in the Close & Control teamsupporting the R&D Market. If you are interested in the role – apply and join our GSK Finance Hub – Europe!

Key responsibilities:

  • In your new role, you will provide set of financial activities during the monthly cycle, to ensure accurate and timely postings of financial transactions
  • Your core goal will be to deliver a timely period-end close. These activities will include analysis of entries, preparation & review of journals, preparing a set of internal controls activities, etc.
  • You will be reviewing the Balance Sheet Reconciliations prepared by Operations Centre, driving quality, correctness of posted transactions, and resolution of open items, assessing balance sheet health, and flagging risks to be addressed
  • You will work closely with Finance Partners in UK and US to ensure activities are properly carried out in the accounting and reporting area. You will also assist in resolving queries and or issues as well as support the annual audit process
  • You will be analysing data, GLs, TBs and preparing reports for Finance Partners as well as providing commentaries to monthly, quarterly, yearly movements
  • You will be reviewing monthly reporting of financial data as an input for group consolidation and resolving related queries
  • You will ensure full compliance with IFRS and SOX requirements

Requirements:

  • Accounting/Finance degree, accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent; also in progress)
  • 2 years of relevant post-qualification or post dear experience
  • Experience in Financial Reporting or Audit Firm
  • Experience in leading Continuous Improvement projects will be a plus
  • Fluency in English
  • Experience of working in with internal control framework will be a plus. Previous SOX experience not required
  • Excel skills a must, preferably advanced, VBA nor Power BI not required
  • Previous experience of SAP preferred
