The Accounts Assistant Manager will be a key player in the Client Accounting team, handling a diverse portfolio and driving efficiency within a Professional Services Accountancy firm in Central London.

The Accounts Assistant Manager will lead and manage a diverse team within the Accounting & Finance department.

  • Ensure full compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Manage budgeting and forecasting activities for multiple clients
  • Be able to manage a team and a healthy portfolio of clients with minimal support
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department


A successful Accounts Assistant Manager should have a background in accountancy handling an established portfolio of clients. You should be leading and managing teams, offering support and be able to review technical and management accounts.

  • A degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
  • Full professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as a Team Leader in an Accounting & Finance setting
  • Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures (FRS102a in particular)
  • Experience working with an overseas outsourcing team and reviewing work accordingly.
  • Be able to delegate and review tasks to your team
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Xero and other accounting software
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
