Current Opportunity – Manager, Corporate & International Tax

Are you an experienced Senior Consultant looking to elevate your career to the next level? Or perhaps you're already a Manager seeking a fresh challenge and new opportunities for growth? BDO Brisbane is currently looking for a dynamic Manager join our Corporate & International Tax team in Brisbane. In this role, you will work closely with our industry leaders, developing your knowledge and skill set in complex compliance and consulting tax work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients across a broad range of sectors, varying in size and complexity, and lead the preparation of income tax advisory and income tax compliance services;
  • Undertake tax due diligence assignments and transactional work;
  • Advise on complex tax issues, including cross-border investments and structures;
  • Assist with tax office submissions, reviews and audits;
  • Develop strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, including global BDO tax network;
  • Oversee and develop technical skills of junior staff and ensure quality and efficient delivery of tax services; and
  • Oversee internal matters including deliverables, work allocations, deadlines, and budgets.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • 4-5+ years’ Corporate Tax experience working in the tax practice of a Big 4/ mid-tier accounting firm
  • Completed a CA/CPA qualification or Master of Taxation
  • Hold a university degree in commerce, accounting and/or law (or related disciplines)
  • Strong client advisory and communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Experienced level of tax compliance background, with a passion about improving your advisory technical expertise and knowledge
  • Extensive consulting exposure to a range of clients, ideally including cross-border structures, financing arrangements and transactions
