Job Summary

  • Assist on treasury risk management, including capital management and liquidity management. 

Key Responsibilities


  • Explore the opportunities of capital optimisation to drive higher RoTE.
  • Assist in the migrating regulatory reporting to the FRW platform, starting from capital and extending to liquidity. 
  • Assist line manager on treasury risk management, including regulatory ratio, internal stakeholder management and regulator engagement;
  • Assist line manager in driving strategic liquidity risk agenda of reducing cost of funds, diversifying depositor base and increasing balance sheet efficiency.
  • Assist in fulfilling other obligations for BSM


  • Handle the capital reporting;
  • Identify the opportunities for capital optimisation; 
  • Assist in capital management and planning, including profit retention, sub debt issuance, profit conversion and capital injection. 


  • Work with capital team for capital reporting and capital management; 
  • Assist on annual ICAAP; 
  • Work with liquidity team on the report automation. 

Risk Management

  • Operate 1st line responsibilities as outlined under Operational Risk Framework (ORF) and associated policies and procedures.
  • Support Line Manager for operational risk sub-types under External Rules & Regulations
  • Prudential Standard – Capital
  • Prudential Standard – Liquidity


  • Assess the impact of new regulation, especially for capital and liquidity risk management

Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. 
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

  • Embed Here for good and Group’s brand and values; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats);

Skills and Experience

  • At least 7~8 years working experience in financial institution or international audit firm (with exposure to banking industry)
  • Sound knowledge in capital reporting and capital management in a commercial bank 
  • Good communication and interpersonal skill
  • Strong teamwork spirit
  • Quicker learner, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent spoken and written English


  • Education - Bachelor
  • Certifications - CICPA Preferred
