Job Description
Job Purpose: Responsible for managing the financial health of the organization to promote success and growth while maintaining legal financial practices. Duties typically include tracking payments, receipts, budgeting and budget adherence. Supports other units with negotiations, development and review of financial documents and contracting. The Finance Manager is tasked with overseeing cash management and investment planning as well as asset procurement and payables. Assists in preparing financial management accounts.

Main Duties:
• Performs financial management duties including generating financial data, compiling and submitting reports.
• Analyzes financial data and contributes to assessment of the financial health of the company.
• Oversees the development and operationalization of the company's finance policies and SOPs.
• Contributes to budgeting, recruiting, training and conducting regular assessments of financial procedures.
• Supervises the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations.
• Advises colleagues and executive management on decisions related to the company's finances.
• Assists in the documentation of the company's financial status and forecasts.
• Mediates between the organization, stakeholders, and clients on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences
• Evaluates suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
• Provides financial, administrative and clerical support to the Finance and Management teams.
• Ensures payments owed by the company to suppliers and other creditors, are made with clear and accurate records.
• Develops procurement policies and procedures for the company, ensuring adherence.
• Leads in procurements reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
• Maintains good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
• Oversees financial transactions, including issuing daily payments, collecting debts, and investing money.
• Any other duties that may be assigned.

• Self-starter with the ability to work with limited supervision.
• Must be confident, organized, proactive and result oriented.
• Must be time-conscious at meeting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Flexible and can-do attitude, with the ability to move between tasks and handle work from a variety of sources.

• Adept at Microsoft Office Suite
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Strong numerical and attention to detail.
• Knowledge in accounting software
• Report Writing/Business Communication.
• Analytical/Problem Solving skills.


• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Commerce or related field.
• ACCA/ICA/CIMA qualified is an advantage
• MBA is a plus

• Must have a minimum of 3 years of relevant work/professional experience.
• Previous experience with a social enterprise
