Audit Manager

Job Description - Manager
Our client which is a reputed audit firm in Saudi Arabia is looking for a Manager to join its
external audit team to lead on complex audit engagements and support growth of the audit business.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager, you will manage the delivery of assignments by defining the audit strategy in
consultation with the Senior Managers / Directors / Partners, and executing it in compliance
with the Firm’s policies and protocols. When required, you will personally execute complex
engagements and lead teams or parts of teams on engagements, depending on the size of the
engagement. You’ll also assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organizing
staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders as well as participate in
business development initiatives.
You will actively establish, maintain and strengthen internal and external relationships and
confirm that work delivered to clients is of a high quality. As part of this, you will anticipate and
identify risks and escalate issues, as appropriate. As an influential member of the team, you will
help to create a positive learning culture and will coach and counsel junior team members and
help them to develop through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring. You will also
contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Assurance
professionals and contribute to the maintenance of an educational program to continually
develop personal skills of staff.

The ideal candidate shall meet the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified US/Australia/Canada CPA or ICAEW professionals.
  • Between 5-7 years total experience with at least 2 years in managerial capacity. Audit firm experience must be recent.
  • Thorough knowledge of current auditing techniques and experience managing teams 
  • Experience with a Big 4 accounting firm is preferable but not mandatory
  • Saudi / Middle East work experience (preferable)
  • Strong command on currently applicable and upcoming IFRS and ISAs
  • Knowledge of use of audit tools and data analytic tools
  • Coaching, mentoring and counselling experience
  • Go-getter, problem solving and innovative mindset
  • Fluent English communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

Salary: Market Competitive plus medical insurance and other benefits as per Saudi Labor.
